This study aims at exploring the lectures’ way to develop EFL materials; strategies for developing and challenges in ELT Material. was conducted English Education Department of three different universities namely STKIP Paracendekia Sumbawa, Makassar State University, Halu Oleo University. In collecting data, researchers used narrative case design. The instrument this themselves. result showed that firstly lecturers who developed material only implemented some steps teaching such students’ need, contextualizing material, use learning process. case, developer disregarded other as trials small group evaluation material.
